About the Role:The agency is looking for a digital marketing whiz with a passion for delivering results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of paid and organic search, website projects, and how to align them with customer journeys to drive conversions. They should be confident across different digital channels and understand what a digital marketing strategy needs to achieve to deliver ROI. This role is perfect for a digital generalist with solid experience in delivering results-driven paid search campaigns. A strong understanding of Google Analytics and AdWords is essential, along with the ability to draft insightful reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
The Digital Account Manager will be involved in all stages of project development, from brief taking to research, planning, execution, and evaluation. They will also contribute to new business initiatives and client account growth. Line management responsibilities for freelancers and junior team members may be included, focusing on their growth, learning, and mentoring. The role requires delivering effective paid search solutions, ensuring KPIs are met, building client trust, and playing a key role in strategy development and campaign implementation across major networks (Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Bing, etc.). Social media campaign experience is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to client marketing and communications strategy.
- Managing nominated accounts, adhering to established processes, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.
- Attending client meetings and presenting proposals and work.
- Managing client accounts commercially, including quote production, profitability management, and invoicing.
- Maintaining client and internal reports using the agency's management system.
- Meeting monthly fee targets and growing client revenue (quarterly targets provided).
- Contributing to new business development, including research, proposal drafting, and presentations.
- Identifying new business opportunities.
- Regularly blogging and mentoring junior team members in blogging.
- Speaking at marketing events.
- Tracking and advising on the latest paid search techniques.
- Managing the optimisation of paid search accounts and campaigns.
- Utilising data and analytics skills, particularly with Excel and Google Analytics/Data Studio.
- Understanding website structure and working with CMSs (e.g., WordPress).
- Collaborating with planning and design experts on UX and CRO.
- Managing the commercial and operational aspects of agency tools and subscriptions.
- Driving digital knowledge sharing within the agency, especially regarding emerging technologies.
- Understanding and ideally having experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Pardot, etc.).
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ digital marketing experience (ideally b2b) within an agency or in-house environment.
- Excellent communication, project, and time management skills.
- Commercial and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proven writing skills (reports, presentations, proposals).
- Team skills, mentoring, and management commitment.
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- English, Marketing, or relevant degree, Google AdWords accredited.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot) or a strong desire to learn.
- Driving licence and own car preferred.
- International project experience and understanding of global campaign structures.
