Job Summary
Responsible for attending various customer sites to complete repairs, scheduled maintenance, completing Thorough Examinations (where authorised to do so) and generating chargeable work. Excellent communication skills required. Hydraulics experience required, Forklifts are the main things we fix.
Key Tasks:
- Attending customer sites following report of a breakdown, diagnose fault and complete the repair.
- Complete scheduled maintenance at customer sites.
- Comply with all site instructions, work permit requirements, health and safety guidance etc.
- Complete job sheets and bespoke client portals to a satisfactorily detailed degree.
- Advise controllers of all work that is chargeable and requires a quote, detailing all parts and labour time required.
- Follow company guidelines regarding all aspects of Health and Safety.
- Polite and courteous manner when dealing with customers and colleagues alike.
- Assist colleagues with repairs where applicable.
- Keep company vehicle presentable and in good working order, including daily van checks.
- Stock control on van. Subject to 6 monthly audit at head office.
- Flexibility around working hours where reasonable.
- Available for on call cover (once probationary period satisfactorily completed).
- Mobile technician so compliance with all road safety regulations in necessary.
- Where trained, complete Thorough Examinations at customer sites.
- Any other work with reasonable requirements of the company.
