Quality Engineer
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Quality Engineer in Manchester.

The Company
We're working with a world-leading company that specialises in designing and manufacturing material-handling equipment.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer with technical expertise in welding, NDT, and heat treatment processes. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure product consistency and reliability.
* Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to monitor and improve product quality.
* Identify and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5Y, FMEA).
* Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventative actions (CAPAs) to drive continuous improvement.
* Perform statistical analysis (SPC, Six Sigma) to track trends and optimize processes.
* Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in alignment with ISO9001, ISO3834-2, and ISO9712 standards.
* Handle customer-related quality concerns, including complaints, warranty claims, and technical reports.

The Individual
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical understanding of welding, NDT, and heat treatment processes.
* Hands-on experience with root cause analysis techniques (8D, 5Y, FMEA).
* A proactive, shop-floor presence with a "go-see" approach to quality management.
* In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory requirements.
