1. On site supervision of all capital projects to ensure, safe, secure, and quality delivery of construction activities.
2. Assist in the development of construction operation and logistics strategies for all capital projects.
3. Definition and monitoring of construction delivery elements of project plans.
4. Assist in the selection and management of the delivery partners, either framework or otherwise who will provide best value for the business from a group perspective, leveraging where possible from standardisation of product and approach
5. Develop delivery strategies to meet customer and stakeholder operational needs and constraints, protecting the business from operational and commercial disruption
6. Support other members of the Capital Delivery team, ensuring constructability, quality, delivery efficiency and logistics considerations are adequately considered at project gateway reviews.
7. Support with the selection of delivery partners with the right capabilities to deliver safe, sustainable value for the business in consultation with Contracts and Procurement
8. Review Pre-Construction Information to ensure that it is adequate for the scale of project and assist Project Managers in preparing a high standard of relevant HSE Hazard information that sets the scene for a safe project.
9. Represent at the Site Progress meetings, ensuring focus on maintaining high H&S standards, quality and overall performance.

As a Construction Manager, you will also be accountable for HSE Specific Responsibilities Inc:
• Quality of Pre-Construction Information completeness and content from Asset records for historic H&S File information.
• Ensuring completeness of the Designers’ Risk Register and contribution to the Design Risk Meetings.
• Review adequacy of the Construction Phase Plans.
• Maintain register of F10s and monitor expiry dates.
• Manage the Safe Start process for the site to ensure that the construction phase is fit to commence and fully compliant.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report on Safeport.
• Review H&S File Part 1 for completeness and accuracy; coordinate the PA3 Process with Assets stakeholders.
• Oversee construction site incident investigations to ensure that they reach appropriate root causes and remedial actions.
• Fulfil ‘Super User’ roles for incident information management on Safeport.
