Sonic Summary
- The Junior Designer for Menswear Jersey will report to the Senior Designer and is responsible for contributing creative ideas and trend updates during design meetings.
- Candidates should possess a degree in Fashion Design/Textiles and have relevant experience, along with a passion for design and a strong eye for jersey products.
- The role involves managing the design room, preparing design packs, sourcing new fabrics, and tracking developments with the factory.
- Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop is required for creating CADs and design packs, along with attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- The position offers a salary of $40,000 per year and requires at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in the field.

Main Role & Responsibilities:
Key elements of role are as follows:
Valued for creativity, able to give trend updates in design meeting, bringing fresh ideas to the table
Works closely with the design team to create commercial boys/menswear ranges
Own management of organising the design room and preparing for meetings
Creation of design packs
Sourcing and updating new fabrics/Trims/Silhouettes/Details
Tracking new development with the Factory
Attend meetings/design presentations
Actively contributing design ideas, research and design concepts to the design team
Personal Attributes or Core Competencies
-Fashion design/Textiles degree with relevant experience
-Passionate about design with a good eye for jersey product
-Confident to share their opinion in a professional way
-Organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic
-Comfortable using Illustrator and Photoshop, to create CADs and design packs for the factory
-Fabric knowledge and jersey awareness
-Attention to detail, working effectively and efficiently
-Commercial awareness
