My client is a globally respected built environment consultancy seeking a CDM Principal Designer to join their team in the North. The Principal Designer / CDM Advisor has the flexibility to work remote or hybrid to one of their offices in Manchester, so location is flexible for this role as long as you are based in the North.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead on a wide range of projects, acting as the Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Conduct site visits, create pre-construction documentation, and ensure compliance with CDM standards.
  • Be the go-to advisor for clients, designers, contractors, and project teams on health and safety matters.
  • Prepare and review health and safety documentation to support project delivery.
  • Assess the competency of design teams and contractors, ensuring exceptional standards across all projects.
  • Collaborate with client safety groups, helping them meet their statutory health and safety obligations.

What Youll Need to Succeed:


  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Tech IOSH Membership
  • APS Membership
  • Desirable Qualifications: A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Surveying is a bonus but not essential.
  • Experience Matters: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a CDM role, with a proven track record of delivering on health and safety compliance.
