Design Manager

Salter Grange is currently leading the recruitment for a Design Manager to join a team on the design efforts of a student accommodation scheme. This role requires a professional with a strong background in architectural design and project management, with a passion for creating inspiring and functional living spaces.

Main responsibilities:

Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring the project meets all design objectives and quality standards
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine design concepts
Manage the design team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality design work
Oversee the preparation of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
Coordinate with the construction team to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the construction process
Conduct regular design reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role in the construction or real estate industry
Strong knowledge of design principles, building codes, and construction processes
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
