We are searching for a 7.5t Driver/Branch Assistant to take up a temp to perm role with our client based in Trafford Park.
Successful 7.5t Driver/Branch Assistant will be employed by ourselves for a temporary period of time before seamlessly transferring over to our client's payroll and becoming their full time contracted employee.
Working as a Driver/Branch Assistant you will be out and about for much of the day, delivering and collecting hire equipment from customers in a 7.5t vehicle. As part of this service you will be expected to demonstrate how to use it if needed. Once you’re done you will head back to base to join the team in the branch.
7.5t Driver/Branch Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Complete all deliveries and collections as allocated to you by your line manager
- Perform demonstration’s and ensure sound presentation of all equipment
- Carry out vehicle checks every morning ie. oil and water levels, lights and tyres
- Being aware and alert to any new business opportunity
- Ensuring all customer and business documents are completed in full
- Be a champion of health and safety, maintaining client’s impeccable track record
What We’re Looking For from our 7.5t Driver/Branch Assistant
- Experience of driving a 7.5T and a good knowledge of the North West area
- You’ll enjoy meeting people, being an advocate for great customer service
- With an interest in machinery, you will have basic knowledge of how equipment works or be keen to learn and widen your own expertise
- Ability to demonstrate the use of all equipment (once learned)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace
- 7.5t UK driving licence essential
Our 7.5t Driver/Branch Assistant requires
Cat-C1 driving licence.
Must be a minimum age of 25 years old for insurance reasons
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's).
Excellent customer service skills and good literacy.
Full UK Driving licence with 7.5T entitlement held for minimum 2-years.
Able to work to tight deadlines.

Typical working hours are Monday to Friday - (Apply online only).
Whilst employed by Driver Hire Manchester South the successful 7.5t Driver/Branch Assistant will earn attractive minimum rate of pay of £12.50 per hour (works out at £14.00 per hour inclusive of holiday pay that will be paid up front) paid weekly via PAYE.
