Production Operative (Sheet Metal)
Trafford, Manchester
Monday – Thursday 16:30 – 01:30, Friday 13:30 – 19:30
£28,204 per annum, rising to £28,704 after probation
Ideal Recruit are looking for an experienced Production Operative to work for our reputable client in Trafford Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that highly values their staff, offering an array of benefits and job satisfaction!
Key Responsibilities:
- To safely set up, monitor and maintain sheet metal working machinery and equipment to its maximum potential and achieve production targets, whilst maintaining the quality of manufactured sheet metal duct fittings.
- Ensure consistent acceptable quality of products and report any defects to the team leader.
- General housekeeping, ensuring that the machinery and its adjacent area is kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure safety guards are in place at all times and be aware of, and comply with, all health and safety requirements.
- When necessary, help with the picking, packing and loading of goods to facilitate output.
- Maintain production/material records.
- Involvement in company stock taking as necessary.
- Willing to learn new skills and undertake training as required
- Any other duties that the Production Manager may request to ensure the smooth running of the factory.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Production experience
- Sheet metal experience
- Sheet metal machinery experience
- FLT licence (Expired is OK)
- First Aid (Expired is OK)
- Attention to detail
- The ability and experience to operate and control equipment
- To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
