I'm working with a Salford secondary school to find them an interim Science Technician to support the Science teaching team.
The role is expected to continue until July 2025.
This school have a reputation as an employer who support their staff work as a team and share good practice.
This role would suit someone with recent lab experience and the ability to start work immediately.Important Details:
- £11.50 per hour Paid weekly
- 37.5 hours a week 08:00-16:00 Mon to Fri
- Some flexibility on hours e.g. around the school run

Duties of the Lab Technician
- Setting up equipment for science experiments
- Maintaining stock and ordering supplies
- Ensuring lab safety
- Keeping the school labs running like clockwork
The Science Technician must have/be:
- A background in science.
- Recent experience in a lab setting (degree experience is satisfactory).
- Organisational skills and a methodical approach
- An understanding of health & safety including COSHH
- Enthusiasm for working in a school environment
- Happy to undergo a DBS check in line with Safer Recruitment guidelines.
- Eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions.
