A career-defining role for a talented Research & Development Engineer to join an international, scientific instrument manufacturer.

Based in a well-known research laboratory, you will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation of mass spectrometry instruments and components. You will regularly collaborate with senior researchers, mechanical engineers, electronic engineers and software engineers to build, test and evaluate new mass spectrometry prototypes that will, if successful, be part of the company’s mass spectrometry portfolio.

Required candidate profile:

  • BSc/Masters/PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Engineering
  • At least 2 years’ experience of designing, building and developing complex scientific instruments
  • An understanding of charged particle optics
  • Excellent communication skills
