This Brigg Scientific client is a well established textiles testing and certification company and they are looking for a Sample Management Technician to work on-site at their premises in Manchester.

Key duties will include:

  • Sample receipt, labelling and logging onto company LIMS
  • Sample preparation for release to laboratory for a variety of chemical / physical tests
  • Use of cutting instruments to prepare samples
  • Storage / archive of samples
  • Regular liaison with laboratory staff

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and time management skills allied to an interest in textiles. A scientific background or experience from a similar laboratory support role would be an advantage. The role will demand excellent IT knowledge, attention to detail, accurate working and job prioritisation skills, although training will be provided.

This is an on-site role with a salary within the range of £22-25k, dependent on experience.
