Salary: Up to £120 per day

About Us: We are a vibrant and inclusive secondary school located in the heart of Blackley, Manchester. Our commitment is to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for our students and staff. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Premises Management: Ensure the security, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance and minor repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
Event Support: Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the school administration and external contractors to address facility-related needs.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role, preferably within an educational setting.
Skills: Basic DIY and maintenance skills, with a good understanding of health and safety practices.
Attributes: Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Clearance: An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
