Key Responsibilities:

  • Premises Management: Ensure the security, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance and minor repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Event Support: Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the school administration and external contractors to address facility-related needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Skills: Basic DIY and maintenance skills, with a good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Attributes: Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Clearance: An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
