Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client based in Manchester who are looking to hire an Interim Procurement Business Partner. This role will operate INSIDE IR35 offering a day rate up to 325 max. and will run initially until the end of August 2025 with a potential to extend until the end of March 2026. This role will also operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to the be in the office in Manchester c1-2 days per month (potentially more when required for key meetings).

The successful candidate will report into the Associate Director of Procurement and will be response for procurement of goods and services within an overall non pay budget of over 20m and you will be required to provide leadership for the strategic, operational and governance aspects of key supplier and contractor relationships as well as providing professional advice on managerial and legal aspects of procurement and contract management.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Experience of working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace - this is a key requirement, candidates without this experience will not be considered
  • Strong knowledge and working experience of Public Sector Procurement Regulations
  • Experience using a range of Procurement routes i.e. Open Procedure and Frameworks to ensure complaint solutions and value for money can be achieved
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
