Nuttall Packaging is a progressive independently owned manufacturing company, based in Manchester, which started trading in 1920. They manufacture and supply high quality bespoke corrugated packaging in a cost effective and environmentally responsible manner from our Trafford Park facility. Due to continuing growth in the business they are now seeking a Business Development Executive to be part of the ongoing success of Nuttall Packaging.
JOB PURPOSE:
Prospecting and contacting potential new customers to grow existing volume of corrugated packaging sales. Responsible for visiting some existing customers allocated to them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Sales Manager and General Manager with growing the overall volume through the plant.
- Identifying, securing and maintaining new customers and business.
- Ensure customers requirements are properly relayed to the Office.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with products and services provided by the Company.
TASKS:
- Prospecting new business.
- Prepare and send out introduction letters.
- Customer visits.
- Advise internal sales administration of customer’s requirements.
- Prepare and send out Quotations/Tenders.
- Chase completed quotations.
- Negotiate with customers to secure business.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with the quality and service provided.
- Help maintain and develop and test existing and new procedures within business system.
- Continually develop relevant knowledge and skills.
PROFILE:
- Proven experience in a sales environment (no packaging sales experience required as full training will be provided).
- IT savvy (Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent sales, commercial and negotiation skills.
- Has a new business mentality and enjoys going out and winning new opportunities.
- Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and determined.
- Clear communication skills at all levels, especially verbal.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
