We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of adult complex care services, looking for an ambitious Business Development & Partnerships Manager to drive occupancy, build new relationships, and shape the organisation’s future growth.

This is a key role within the organisation’s commercial and development function, offering a fantastic blend of business development, referral management, and operational delivery. About the Role

As Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you will:

  • Build and strengthen relationships with ICBs, NHS Commissioners, Local Authorities, and other referral partners.
  • Horizon scan to identify new opportunities for service development, especially to support the launch of new services.
  • Manage and develop two Referral & Assessment Coordinators, ensuring effective handling of incoming referrals and assessments.
  • Oversee occupancy management across the organisation’s established services, ensuring bed occupancy targets are consistently achieved while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to shape referral processes, commercial strategy, and service development plans.
  • Combine operational oversight with strategic insight, ensuring all referral pathways and processes are commercially effective and aligned with service delivery priorities.

About You:

  • Commercially aware - with experience in business development, partnerships, or commissioning within health or social care.
  • Relationship-driven - confident managing and influencing senior stakeholders, commissioners, and operational teams.
  • Creative and strategic - able to spot trends, risks, and opportunities, and turn them into actionable plans.
  • Operationally savvy - understanding how referral processes impact occupancy, service quality, and revenue.
  • Ambitious and proactive - someone who thrives on driving improvement and is comfortable shaping processes and solutions.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week in the head office, with flexibility to work from home or visit services across the portfolio as needed.
