Technical Pension Specialist- Home Based

Alexander Lloyd have an exciting new role for a Technical Pension Specialist to join a well established Pension Consultancy on a fully remote basis. The position comes at an exciting time where the firm are defining and executing strategic goals as well as developing the next generation of market leading Products and Services and plans for 2025 and beyond. The role will be responsible and accountable for defining the technical requirements, principles and models that guide solution decisions for the pensions operation.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading change through improving mission critical processes that align with the business vision
  • Engaging and managing a range of stakeholders (including senior management)
  • Monitoring performance targets from end to end and communicating these through dashboards and reports
  • Ensuring the ownership of the creation of process guides, colleague training and benefit measurement
  • Communicating process changes through a variety of channels including workshops, presentations and email comms or participating in the planning of these activities.

What will you be doing:

  • Lead on projects linking in with all key stakeholders within the department or business areas.
  • Provide input into development/training action planning and process improvement, where required.
  • Control and enhance the quality of customer outputs to deliver an excellent customer experience through coaching, training action planning and process improvement where required.
  • Adapt to varying demands and workloads with a commitment to ensure tasks are completed to deadline whilst maintaining excellent levels of quality.
  • Understand the importance of and deliver against individual objectives and to contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and business results.
  • Understand the importance of continuous improvement and be able to collate and interpret data to seek opportunities both inside and outside the team to improve the customer experience, challenging current processes.

What are we looking for:

  • Technical pensions experience in DB
  • Strong Excel - Formulas/Vlookups/able to manipulate and process bulk data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Internal and some external client relationship skills
  • Project management in a pensions environment
