CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY - START TIMES FROM 04.00 AM

PAY RATE: £15.50 PER HOUR

You will be working as part of a two-person team delivering furniture to customer's homes.

Must be physically fit as the role involves heavy lifting and be able to go through DBS check.

Day to Day Duties

Drive Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
Complete up to 20 home deliveries per shift (amount of deliveries depend on area and distance)
Work as part of a two-person team
Handball stock into customer's property
Provide excellent customer service
Multi-drop deliveries
Ensure vehicle is well presented
Comply with driving rules and regulations
Be prepared for various shift lengths (8h to 12h shift)

Essential Skills

Hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence and have held this for a minimum of six months
Hold a valid UK CPC Card
Must be able to go through DBS check
Hold a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
Have at least six months experience driving Category C vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
No major endorsement codes
Positive 'Can Do' attitude
Good communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
You must undergo a drug and alcohol test for this role
Must be reasonably physically fit as this is a physical role that involves lifting and carrying
Need to be able to pass random drug an alcohol test

Desirable Experience

Experience making home deliveries as part of a two-person team is desirable

Training

Drivers will be required to pass a written and practical driving assessment as well as drug and alcohol test
Following successful assessment, you will receive 1 week training
