Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Low Loader Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our HGV Low Loader, to transport plant & machinery to various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Low Loader vehicles
- Ensure the safe loading, securing, and unloading of Plant & Rail machinery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
- Perform routine maintenance and report any vehicle issues to the fleet manager.
- Provide excellent customer service and always represent the company in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving license.
- Certified to operate HGV Class 1 Low Loader.
- Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably with Low Loader experience.
- Strong understanding of transportation and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible with working hours and willing to work weekends and overtime as regularly.
