HGV Class 2 Driver

Contract: Permanent

Overtime: £14.58ph

Location: Manchester

Salary: £31,412.94 PA

£2,617.75 monthly

£120.82 daily

£12.08 per hour

Shift: Mon - Fri, 50hrs/wk, Start time 7am

Main duties/ responsibilities

  • Operating commercial vehicles
  • Load and unload goods
  • Making sure loads are safely secured
  • Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary
  • Carrying out basic routine maintenance
  • Completing delivery paperwork, PDA, Walk around check or any documentation
  • Following the compliance, tacho master and other regulations and laws that are applicable

Technical Skills:

  • A valid HGV license
  • Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
  • Ability to operate HGVs safely and efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Familiarity with GPS systems and other tracking devices

The successful candidate will:

  • Be present with a Positive and Can-do attitude
  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Minimum 1 years experience of driving C2
  • Have great communication skills
  • Be able to provide clean basic Criminal Record Check prior to start date (obtained within 26 weeks)
  • Provide a full 5-year checkable history
  • Hold a Clean Driving Licence (If the position requires it)
  • Hold valid DQC and up to date CPC
