Pastry Chef Ideal Profile:
- Confident in running a busy pastry section during service
- Strong understanding of classic and modern pastry techniques
- Passionate about working with seasonal ingredients and creating exciting desserts
- Previous experience in a fresh food kitchen, ideally with a brasserie or fine dining background
- Comfortable contributing to menu ideas and executing them to a high standard
- Organised, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining high standards
Pastry Chef Responsibilities:
- Lead the pastry section, producing consistently high-quality desserts and baked goods
- Prepare fresh pastry items daily including bread, ice cream, and petit fours
- Work closely with the Head Chef on seasonal dessert development
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Train and support junior team members on the pastry section
- Ensure efficient mise en place and organisation for smooth service
