Finance Director | Live Entertainment Scale Up | Manchester (Hybrid)

Harmonic are thrilled to be working exclusively alongside one of the most exciting live event scale ups in the UK in the search for a Finance Director help guide the business through the next stage of their growth.

The Business:

Our client are a values and culture driven promoter and organiser of music festivals and live entertainment shows, spanning across music, comedy, spoken word events and more. Having scaled impressively year on year since inception, our client are now backed by one of the largest live entertainment businesses globally, and as such are on a healthy financial footing in which to kick on from.

With turnover at circa £12 million and with headcount at just over 50, this established SME boasts a fantastic presence established from the high quality, audience first events bringing tens of thousands of customers to their 100+ gigs a year. Surrounded by people with a love of the arts, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who shares these values and would take pride in working for such an exciting and well respected organisation.

The Role:

Reporting into a fractional CFO and CEO, this broad position will offer exposure to a range of duties across strategic, commercial and technical accounting. There is also a management accountant in the team, allowing for this role to business partner across the various departments, and have a real influence on future growth.

The Duties:

  • Work closely with directors to enact strategic direction
  • Take full responsibility for the financial direction of the business
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Budget preparation and management
  • Business partner across all departments
  • Developing and managing junior finance function
  • Adopt an approach of continuous improvement suitable for a fast-growth business.
  • Lead on system improvements where required

What we need to see (essential):

  • ACA / CIMA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
  • Experience in fast growth environment

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Background in the live entertainment space
  • Previous line management experience

Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 + bonus + benefits

Location: Manchester (2 days in office)
