Purpose of the role:

  • To work within the business development team to generate new business opportunities and achieve sales targets through effectively building relationships with prospects, advisors and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer service:

  • Ensure excellent delivery of services through building relationships with prospects and business advisors.
  • Liaise effectively with external business advisors and introducers as prospective clients travel through the sales pipeline.
  • Proactively add value through following best practice and maintaining and improving processes.
  • Seek out opportunities to build an effective network who provide new business opportunities.
  • Ensure all external communication such as telephone calls, e-mails and letters are delivered in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Represent the company effectively at events, meetings and conferences.

Positive Teamwork:

  • Ensure that our company values are reflected in all activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues in all functions of the business.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers as required.
  • Expand experience through seeking out knowledge from colleagues and through ongoing training whilst helping others.

Finance, Risk, and Administration:

  • Work in an efficient manner with excellent attention to detail.
  • Input and keep up to date our CRM system to effectively manage our sales pipeline.
  • Ensure all due diligence is conducted effectively when preparing new business proposals.
  • Ensure that the highest standards of quality and accuracy are maintained at all times.

Projects:

  • Take park in projects as they arise to facilitate business success.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge

  • Computer literate competent with Microsoft office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Motivational team player.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Consistently exercises good judgement.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Pride in their work.
  • Demonstrable BD experience in finance sector preferable.
