As a Principal Civil Structures Engineer, you'll be an integral part of the heavy civil engineering team, working on transformational programmes that shape the UK's critical infrastructure. This is your opportunity to work on landmark projects both in the UK and internationally.
Their heavy civil engineering projects are across sectors like Defence, Energy, and Water. By guiding projects through every phase-from design to construction-you will deliver engineering solutions that set industry standards and offer exceptional value to clients.
Your Role:
- Lead a team in technical design work, ensuring adherence to relevant design standards and codes, delivering top-quality outcomes.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
- Effectively manage time and budgets, ensuring key project milestones are met.
- Collaborate with teams both in the UK and internationally to deliver seamless integrated design solutions.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance in every aspect of the design process.
About You:
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
- Proven experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Strong expertise in the design and analysis of heavy concrete and steel structures, with knowledge of British Standards and American codes.
- Proficient in using structural analysis packages for design.
- Experience in the nuclear sector, particularly with safety-related structures, systems, and components (preferred but not essential, depending on overall experience).
