The Fire Engineer's Role
As the successful Fire Engineer, you will act as project engineer managing a range of small to medium sized schemes collaborating with external and internal design teams to implement fire strategies during project stage.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Site visits
- Detailed technical/tender design
- Looking at fire dynamics, stoke dynamics, heat transfer, human behaviour
The Fire Engineer will have
Qualifications:
- A degree in Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Associate member of IFE
Knowledge and attributes:
- Demonstrable experience in fire engineering design and strategy development
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and guidance, including Approved Document B, BS 9999, and PAS 9980
- Goal-orientated, team player and strong eye for detail
