The Building Safety Surveyor will be accountable for and will manage a range of local and regional projects across the North West to ensure that all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements for the delivery of fire risk remediation works and associated building safety works are met.

Description

  • The Building Safety Surveyor will ensure that projects are completed in the most efficient way in accordance with Anchor Hanover performance specifications, current Fire Risk Assessment guidance and legislation, in order to achieve 100% Fire Risk Assessment action compliance.
  • Overall accountability and responsibility for delivery of all fire remediation projects on time and within agreed budgets to meet the requirements of Fire Risk Assessment surveys and compartmentation surveys.
  • Ensure all standing orders for the procurement and delivery of fire remediation works are met.
  • Undertake delivery of the Fire Door and Compartmentation survey programme that ensures optimum value for the customer and business.
  • Work members of the property, procurement, finance, operation, care and health & safety teams to ensure the FRA programme is delivered within the agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure frequent inspections are undertaken to identify and address areas of non-compliance and poor workmanship resulting in first time QA (quality assurance) pass rate ensuring FRA compliancy is achieved within the agreed parameters and timeframes
  • Understand performance, provide feedback and confront poor performance positively and collaboratively within the team, contractors, suppliers and all key stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with the suppliers, contractor and other key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction is met and FRA compliance is achieved at the first time of asking.
  • Ensure we have Section 20 compliant solution to deliver all Fire remediation works.

Profile

  • FDIS Qualification is REQUIRED
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in conducting building safety surveys.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
