We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Director to spearhead our new business initiatives. This role is critical in driving our growth strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and forging strong relationships with potential clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in new business sales, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to think strategically to achieve ambitious sales targets.

Day to day you will:

  • Pursue new business opportunities, focusing on expanding our client base and increasing revenue.
  • Maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations.
  • Execute effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
  • Market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
  • Present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating our value proposition.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.

The organisation has a dedicated in-house marketing team tasked with creating dynamic campaigns and driving new business development. This strategic addition is designed to provide robust support and resources, supporting your success in this role.

This role will work on a hybrid basis from our Manchester Office with travel across the UK as and when required.

To be successful, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Managed Services industry and/or IT solutions, ideally experience with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security and Managed Services and its competitive landscape is highly desirable.
  • Negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with prospective clients.
  • Proven new business IT sales track record, ideally with Enterprise level customers and high-end products and solutions with a focus on new business
  • Proactive approach to identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with C-suite executives.
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape, with the ability to articulate and demonstrate unique differentiators from competitors.
  • Background in consultative selling, leveraging a solutions-oriented approach to address client needs and drive value.
