Role: Business Development Manager (Cross-Selling Engineering Services)
Location: National Coverage (HQ Manchester)
Salary: £50,000 + OTE + Car Allowance

With roots that go back as far as 1859, our client is a reputable and trusted supplier of Testing, Inspection Certification and Compliance services.
Due to continued growth, we are supporting our client in their search for a Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will play a vital role in growing existing client accounts through identifying cross-sell opportunities of other products our client offers.
You will be developing and owning the cross-sales revenue delivery plan to meet set targets across group-wide business products and services focusing on statutory inspections covering LOLER, PSSR and COSHH and the wider electrical compliance industry. You will develop and drive sales initiatives in your area of responsibility to grow the sales pipeline and conversion, supporting overall group business strategy, all the while keeping customer obsession central to all strategic activity.
You will:
- Find and develop high value solutions for our customers through channels such as tenders, Request for proposals and direct awards
- Create and maintain relationships with key clients to cross sell divisional services
- Prospecting new contacts within your specified sector
- Deliver sales of products and services throughout the group ensuring consistency with the strategic plan, embracing a solution sales approach
- Meet or exceed the targets and utilise technologies and sales programmes to quickly increase market share
- Understand customer business drivers and goals and keep up to date with customer’s businesses
- Develop relationships at decision maker levels within a customer’s organisation
- Be fluent in discussing scope of services, availability and throughput at all levels
- Develop high value solutions for the customer pains using the product portfolio
- Deliver monthly sales forecasting and an annual budget forecast
Experience:
- A background of working within or for the Facilities Management industry
- Knowledge of the regulations within the Engineering Inspection and compliance market
- Experienced in creating high value tender returns and proposal documents
- Highly effective sales, communication and presentation skills to deliver results
- Vast amount of prospecting experience
- Excel in relationship building, influencing and negotiating
- Excellent attention to detail, working with detailed proposals and CRM systems
- A track record of developing sales functions and exceeding revenue retention and growth expectations
