We’re hiring for a CNC Turner to join a leading engineering firm at their new and improved site based in Stockport.

As a CNC Turner you will be experienced in setting and operating CNC lathes and turning centres using various controls including Fanuc based systems, manufacturing high precision components for various industries including aerospace and automotive from small to medium batch quantities.

What’s on offer?

  • £18.00 per hour
  • Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 2:15pm
  • Overtime available (paid at enhanced rates)
  • 6 weeks holiday (excluding bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a CNC Turner?

  • Setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines
  • Utilising various controls, including Haas Fanuc and Siemens based systems, to perform lathe operations
  • Manufacturing high-precision components for diverse industries
  • Ensuring accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
  • Adhering to quality standards and maintaining precision in component manufacturing
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting machine issues
  • Collaborating with team members to optimise production processes
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
  • Performing inspections and quality checks on finished components
  • Complying with safety regulations and company policies
  • Documenting and recording relevant information regarding production processes

What do you need?

  • Must have experience in Setting and operating CNC lathe machines
  • Experience of working in a fast paced machine shop environment
  • Experience using Fanuc systems
  • Previous experience of manufacturing steel components
  • Experience working with a range of materials such as Aluminium, Mild steel, Stainless steels.
