Painter & Decorator

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team on a contract basis, providing high-quality painting and decorating services within the social housing sector in Manchester. This role covers a wide range of tasks, including void property preparation, routine maintenance, and responsive repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating (e.g., cleaning, sanding, filling).
• Applying paint and wallpaper to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces using various techniques.
• Completing interior and exterior painting projects, including glossing, emulsioning, and specialist finishes.
• Performing maintenance tasks related to painting and decorating (e.g., repairs, patching, touch-ups).
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Working effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter & decorator, ideally within the social housing sector.
• Blue skilled CSCS card with relevant NVQ.
• Strong understanding of various painting and decorating techniques.
• PASMA.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the trade.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
