To support their continued growth and uphold their commitment to excellence, they are seeking an experienced Asbestos Contracts Manager to join and strengthen their management team.



Job Summary

The Contracts Manager will oversee all aspects of asbestos management within the organisation, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations. This role is vital in safeguarding both employees and clients by leading the safe identification, handling, and removal of asbestos-containing materials. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive asbestos management plans in line with current legislation.

  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify and assess asbestos risks.

  • Lead and coordinate asbestos removal projects, ensuring safe and efficient completion.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records of all asbestos-related activities, including inspections, removals, and staff training.

  • Deliver training and guidance to staff on asbestos awareness and safe work practices.

  • Manage multiple projects using strong project management and time management skills.

  • Champion continuous improvement in health and safety procedures related to asbestos management.



Requirements

  • Proven experience in asbestos management or a closely related field is essential.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting.

  • Excellent time management and task prioritisation abilities.

  • Strong organisational and record-keeping capabilities.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with project management IT systems is advantageous.

  • A proactive, safety-first mindset and a thorough understanding of compliance standards.
