MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINER

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Location: Manchester City Centre (4 days off-site visits, 1 day in the office)

Hours: Mon-Fri (9am-5pm)

Contract: Permanent

What you'll do:

As a Mental Health First Aid Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver and teach the Mental Health First Aid England course to our client base. You'll have the exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals across various sectors. Your role will involve regular travel as you'll spend 4 days per week out of the office delivering training courses (onsite or virtually) and one day per week in the office. You'll also handle basic administrative duties, organise and coordinate open courses for contract clients and ad hoc clients.

* Deliver open courses on Mental Health First Aid England

* Occasionally deliver closed courses as required

* Achieve the KPI of delivering 4 days of MHFA training each week

* Coordinate and manage multiple delegate details across multiple dates

* Work on other projects as reasonably requested

* Ensure all individual and team KPIs are adhered to on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

* Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with any cases or sensitive information obtained as part of the role

What you bring:

As our ideal candidate for the Mental Health First Aid Trainer position, you bring along your approval as an instructor for MHFA England, ideally in more than one MHFA product. You're up to date with all instructor requirements including delivery, CPD, and membership payments. Your experience in training delivery coupled with your sound knowledge of mental health makes you stand out. You possess effective interpersonal communication skills and are proficient in IT skills especially PowerPoint and MS teams. Your ability to demonstrate initiative, work independently, deliver all MHFA products on a regular basis and to a high standard will be key to your success in this role.

* Approved instructor for MHFA England, ideally in more than one MHFA product

* Up-to-date with all instructor requirements (delivery, CPD and membership payments)

* Experience in training delivery

* Experience of managing/working with people

* Sound knowledge of mental health

* Effective interpersonal communication skills

* Proficient IT skills (especially PowerPoint and MS teams)

* Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently

* Ability to deliver all MHFA products on a regular basis and to a high standard
