Group HSEQ Assurance Manager

Our Role

As the Group HSEQ Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing the audit plans for the business and managing a team of auditors, you will collectively be undertaking risk-based audits. You will include subcontractor HSEQ standards within the audit plan, providing assurance contractual requirements are being met. In addition, you will also plan and co-ordinate external HSEQ audits to maintain accreditations.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing a non-conformance database detailing findings from audits. You will be required to provide stakeholders with visibility of all non-conformances and improvement opportunities.

You will have a passion for ensuring exceptional levels of health, safety, quality and environmental standards are delivered; putting in place the processes and reports to continually monitor compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor an effective assurance program to cover risks detailed within the HSEQ Risk Register and ensure compliance with Network Pluss safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and co-ordinate external ISO audits / contractor audits.
  • Manage and develop the Audit team to provide a highly effective service across the business.
  • Monitor non-conformances and escalate areas of potential impact.
  • Provide regular data and management reports in line with the governance structure.
  • Establish a robust assurance criterion to ensure effective contractor and supplier control.
  • Provide comprehensive management reports in line with the governance structure.
  • You will drive the correct and safe behaviours out on site and within the office, leading on the active management of the Competence Assessment process.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Recognised Lead Auditor Qualification
  • Recognised Internal Auditor Qualification
  • ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 Awareness
  • Working knowledge of SIPP
  • Experience in a similar HSEQ leadership role
  • HSEQ Qualification e.g. NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 & 90001
  • Working knowledge of CDM requirements
  • Demonstrable Project Management Capability
  • Proven experience of managing and developing a team
  • Proven Excel, MS tools & Data analysis
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Utilities experience
