- Reviewing and evaluating the current L&D processes and making recommendations from this.
- Working alongside the People Director, you will be solely responsible for the L&D strategy and act as the lead person driving the L&D function.
- Deliver training, predominantly Leadership & Management training, whilst also working alongside the L&D Operations Partner to help design and facilitate the suite of training packages.
- Design and deliver Leadership & Development programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, while managing third-party providers effectively.
- Continually review the suite of training packages on the LMS to make sure they are fit for purpose and conduct Leadership and Development training in person.
- Collaborate with managers to create and support individual learning, succession, and talent plans, including course content and learning solutions.
- Identify and implement innovative methods for delivering training, learning, and development to maximise benefits for employees and the business.
- Manage apprenticeship programs, ensuring appropriate selection and maintaining the Apprentice Levy account.
- Working closely with the People Director you will be the leading role for the HR team, mentoring, encouraging, supporting and guiding with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Working alongside the People Director, help Implement and embed the People Strategy consistently across all areas.
- Provide support and advice in line with legal and best practice requirements, while being commercially aware of business needs.
- Working alongside an experienced HR team you will oversee the development of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with current legislation and best practices.
- Be an ambassador for the People Strategy and a driver of change, ensuring effective change management.
- You will be an experienced L&D or HR professional, working at a similar level, who has experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or the engineering sectors.
- You will have proven management experience, mentoring and supporting similar teams.
- Willingness to travel to different sites and maintain visibility across the entire business.
- Ability to gather data and insights to identify learning needs, collect feedback, report on training completion, and continuously improve content.
- Capability to deliver training sessions both in-person and virtually.
- Proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders across a diverse business.
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills.
- CIPD qualification (preferred).
