A substantial European Group, in turn, part of a Global Corporation, our Client is firmly established as a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality, premium priced, branded products on a worldwide basis. Following significant investment in its European manufacturing and distribution facilities, the Organisation is now enhancing its market position and offering still further through both organic and acquisitive growth.

It is in this thriving context that a high calibre Operations/Manufacturing Senior Management professional is now required. Reporting to the (US based) VP Operations as an integral member of the European Leadership Team, you will assume overall P&L responsibility for several Production Plants and Distribution Centres within the UK & Europe. Managing and further developing your site-based teams (spanning production, process engineering, logistics, supply chain and HSE), you will drive the Global Corporations Lean Manufacturing initiative; creating & maintaining a Continuous Improvement and Best Practice culture. Given the active commitment to organic & acquisitive growth, your remit will also encompass: manufacturing capability assessments of potential acquisitions; involvement in new site builds and commissioning; and an expansion of your responsibilities to include the subsequent leadership & management of additional sites.

Degree and Lean Six Sigma (or similar), you will be able to demonstrate Senior Operations Management experience gained in a liquid mixing, blending & filling manufacturing/processing environment (eg. Chemicals, Paints, Coatings, Beverages, Household liquids, Toiletries etc.). Whilst your early career will have probably been spent in production or engineering, you will have already progressed to a far broader role which will have increased your commercial awareness and afforded you additional budgetary and team management responsibilities. Strategically and tactically effective, you will be a change manager who will drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Given the multi-site responsibility of this senior role, you will be based at a site in either the East Midlands, North of England or Europe with regular travel (UK & Europe). Further career progression prospects are excellent within this multi-site international Group.
