  • Credit controller Cheshire Salary DOE **Unlock Your Potential in a Dynamic Finance Role**Step into a pivotal role at the heart of a growing law firm, providing essential support to the Finance Partner in credit control. **Role Overview:**Reporting to the Finance Partner, this role is integral to the firm's financial operations. The Credit Control Specialist will ensure precise administration and consistent implementation of credit control processes.**Key Responsibilities:**- Proactively manage credit control across the firm, ensuring daily cash collection.- Issue statements to clients, follow up with reminders and phone calls in line with the firm's credit control policy.- Handle card payments and appropriate postings.- Resolve queries and disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit terms.- Negotiate payment plans and methods with clients as necessary.- Initiate legal actions and refer cases to the internal debt collection department if required.- Report on the status and performance of the accounts receivable ledger to the Finance Partner.- Review and update the company’s credit policies and procedures.- Maintain strong relationships and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.- Prepare and distribute Work-In-Progress reports to assist in the management of WIP lockup and actioning of WIP write-offs.- Collaborate with the firm’s Billing Team and Accounts Department.**Skills & Experience Required:**- Experience within Credit control role- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.- Strong communication and negotiation skills.- Attention to detail and accuracy.- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.- Knowledge of credit laws and regulations.- Customer service and problem-solving skills.Join a firm that values your expertise and offers a supportive environment for your professional development.  If you are interested in this role, please send your CV over to .
