I am seeking a dedicated Credit Controller / Finance Assistant to support my clients Credit Control Manager and the wider finance department. This full-time, office-based role is ideal for an individual with strong organisational and communication skills, who thrives in a growing and fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Report directly to the Credit Control Manager.
  • Collaborate internally with the Finance Department, Sales Team, and Customer Care Team.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure they are aware of payment terms.
  • Manage the invoice query mailbox and respond to incoming queries via phone and email within agreed timescales.
  • Contribute to the monthly billing of various customer segments.
  • Focus on debt collection and reducing aged debt for a set number of customers each period.
  • Update business spreadsheets with details of new business and highlight any payment issues to the Credit Control Manager and sales team.
  • Excel spreadsheet data manipulation
  • Assist with cash allocation and month-end housekeeping tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the growing needs of the business.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to develop projects that support the reduction of queries, aged debt, and improvement of invoicing speed and accuracy, or increase in revenue.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and accurate record-keeping.
