Customer Sales & Service Representative – Manchester – start date 6th January 2025
We are recruiting for experienced Customer Service professionals to work for a well-known, established insurance company! We are a fast-growing, digitally driven, agile broker with a vision to both simplify and improve insurance for customers across the UK and Ireland. Markerstudy Distribution is home to many brands such as Swinton Insurance, Autonet and Carole Nash.
The purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer service by providing a personal and professional experience over the telephone, resolving customer inquiries.
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for customer service and have effective communication skills.
This is a full-time position, working Monday – Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
Salary for this position starts from £24,000 per annum.
Please note this is a hybrid position with a split between working from the office and at home, however for the initial training period you are required to be in the office full time.
Full in-depth training is provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver outstanding and consistent customer service across all product lines to ensure customer confidence and drive customer loyalty.
• Promote and ensure the positive reception of the distribution brands.
• Take ownership to ensure the development of long term relationships with customers and extend the existing relationship with customers to engage with new products.
• Take responsibility for ensuring satisfactory customer outcomes in line with FCA guidelines promoting positive customer satisfaction.
• Ensure effective handling and escalation of complaints in line with the company’s complaints handling procedure in order to ensure fair customer outcomes.
Skills / Experience required:
- Experience working within a customer service environment, this could be from a variety of backgrounds including retail, contact centre and hospitality (face to face, by phone or in written form).
- Experience within the Insurance sector, preferably within Insurance Brokering (advantageous, but not essential).
- Able to take responsibility for customer concerns & resolution.
- Good communication skills, able to remain objective & demonstrate empathy.
- Experience of using technology including excellent keyboard skills.Â
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Able to identify personal goals & take responsibility for your own development plan.
- Able to remain self-motivated.
