Are you a strategic leader with a passion for data management and organisation? Do you excel in overseeing teams and ensuring that complex data systems run smoothly? My client is seeking a Data Catalogue Manager to lead and manage the Definitive Software Library (DSL), ensuring comprehensive and efficient cataloguing of software and data assets across the organisation.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the management of the company's software and data catalogues, ensuring that all software assets are accurately documented, easily accessible, and systematically maintained. As a leader, you'll guide a focused team, working closely with cross-functional departments to streamline data and software inventory processes, optimise resource allocation, and maintain the integrity of the organisation's data catalogue.

The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, demonstrating a track record of successfully managing teams and overseeing data or software cataloguing functions. You'll be instrumental in driving best practices for data management, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the software and data catalogues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Data Catalogue team, ensuring accurate documentation and systematic organisation of all software and data assets within the DSL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the lifecycle of software and data assets, from acquisition to decommissioning.
  • Maintain and update the definitive software and data catalogue, ensuring all assets are properly categorised, tracked, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee permissions management and access control, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimising data management processes, including the integration of new tools and technologies.
  • Monitor the usage of third-party and in-house software, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting across the enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and drive process improvements.
  • Experience in data management, cataloguing, or software asset management, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and software, including but not limited to Excel, SQL, and specialised software cataloguing tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive salary up to 45k, plus a market-leading bonus scheme.
  • A hybrid working model with time at our client's Manchester office.
  • The opportunity to lead a critical function within a dynamic and growing organisation.

If you're ready to take on this leadership role and drive the management of our software and data assets, we want to hear from you. Submit your CV for immediate consideration.
