Sonic Summary

The position is for a Couchbase DBA and NoSQL Database Consultant working with a leading enterprise client on an advanced software platform.
Candidates should have commercial experience as a Couchbase DBA, with expertise in both production and development environments.
Experience with Couchbase Server, Couchbase Capella, and skills in database architecture, performance tuning, and automation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes are required.
Familiarity with AWS or Azure is a plus, along with knowledge of Kafka, Elastic Search, and programming languages such as Java or Scala.
The role is a remote contract requiring 1-2 site visits per month, outside IR35, with a competitive salary based on experience.

Commercial experience as Couchbase DBA
Production & Development environments experience
Couchbase Server, Couchbase Capella
Logical and physical database architecture
Automation, virtualisation/containerisation technologies such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes
Couchbase Performance Tuning
AWS or Azure experience is a plus
Couchbase NoSQL XDCR replication
Kafka, Elastic Search, Java or Scala beneficial
Good SQL, N1QL, SQL++
multi-dimensional scaling, caching, indexing
OLTP, DWH experience such us AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, Couchbase

remote contract, 1-2 site visits per month, outside IR35
