Senior Data & BI Analyst / Manchester City Centre / Salary £60,000 - £85,000 + Excellent Benefits / Commercial & Team Management Exposure / Permanent Role / PE-Backed E-Commerce SME

NC Associates have been retained by a market leading PE Backed E-Commerce SME to work in partnership in recruiting an experienced Senior Data & BI Analyst who has experience within E-Commerce. This is a newly created role which can offer the right person excellent exposure to the wider business. As a Senior Data & BI Analyst you will be responsible for installing and optimising seamless end-to-end systems and processes to drive scale and efficiency across the business. You will be responsible for the data warehouse, data connections and the on-going enhancement of the reporting suite to ensure all teams can make data driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems

  • Lead system migration and optimisation projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Help the team in the final stages of delivery of a new back-end tech stack
  • Liaise with external vendors and system providers to keep the project on track and ensure all user testing is done in accordance with best practice
  • Review all back-end systems and processes and suggest developments to improve efficiency, accuracy and cost savings.

Business Data

  • Manage the data warehouse and ensure the validity of all data streams
  • Develop and maintain data reporting tools and dashboards, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Manage data governance initiatives to ensure data consistency, compliance, and security across systems
  • Collaborate with the senior finance & management team as well as other key stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for strategic decision-making.

Essential Experience Required:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role within a E-Commerce business
  • Team management experience desirable
  • SQL Proficiency Strong ability to query, manipulate, and interpret data.
  • Excel Expertise Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Data Visualisation Tools Experience with platforms such as Retool, Power BI, or similar for creating insightful dashboards.
  • System Migration & Optimisation Proven experience managing system transitions, with attention to data integrity and operational continuity. A strong practical understanding of APIs.
  • Analytical Thinking Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Systems - Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and data warehousing systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
