Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a data modernisation strategy: Oversee the transformation of their existing data platforms to deliver enhanced capabilities, reliability, and performance.
- Build and lead a dynamic Data Services team: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product, service delivery, and technical stakeholders to implement a cohesive and forward-thinking data strategy.
- Streamline data services integration: Align their data platforms with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of new products and features.
- Ensure operational excellence: Drive platform reliability, observability, and innovation, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in data strategy and governance: Demonstrated ability to define and implement effective data frameworks in complex environments.
- Advanced technical knowledge: Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and SQL platforms, with exposure to Microsoft Fabric being a significant advantage.
- Comprehensive data management experience: Strong background in data integration, storage, and analytics solutions tailored for enterprise environments.
- Operational leadership: Track record of managing 24/7 operations, including out-of-hours escalation management and ensuring high system availability.
