Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented teacher of food technology and catering to join a secondary academy in Manchester

This is a full-time temporary teaching role from April 2025 to cover for the whole summer term. The school are seeking to recruit a permanent teacher for a September 2025 start, so this role may become permanent.

The Role

Teacher of Food Technology and Hospitality and catering

Five days a week 8.15am to 3.00pm

Delivery of food technology, nutrition and health and catering with a focus on innovative practical lessons

Experience of teaching Key stage 4 catering is essential as the timetable is predominantly year 11 classes.

The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers and experienced QTS teachers.

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with a full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • As the role involves practical food teaching the teacher must have Qualified Teacher Status to be covered on the school's insurance policy
