Tradewind are searching for Teaching Assistants based in South Manchester or can travel to this area! We need flexible and reliable TAs who can support our 'Good' and 'Outstanding' schools.

This role will include:

  • Assisting a student with special educational needs, typically on a one-to-one basis
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the young individual under your supervision
  • Collaborating with the school team to create a stimulating, secure, and nurturing learning environment for students

The competitive pay rate for this position is between £84 and £90 per day, depending on experience. This position will commence ASAP on a day-to-day basis. You will be required for the rest of the academic year with the possibility of extension.

About youThe successful Teaching Assistant will be responsible for the progress and attainment of a high achieving class. In addition to this, you will work collaboratively with the class teacher and support the academic attainment of child with additional needs on and one-to-one basis.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, managing classroom activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils with learning challenges, ensuring their understanding of the curriculum
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, including setting up equipment and organising resources for lessons
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect
  • Work effectively as a team player with the key stage and wider staff to share advice, resources and best practice
