Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - Whalley Range, Manchester.

Educate GM’s partner school in Whalley Range, Manchester is looking for a Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant to join their flourishing, diverse school.

The role is full-time, for the full academic year and will commence from January 2025. This great opportunity will pay £85-£105 a day, depending on experience.

The inner-city Manchester Primary School seeks someone passionate about helping children excel and reach their full potential. Exceptional communication skills are necessary. You will be required to support the class teacher in daily classroom tasks such as taking children out for small group interventions, setting up daily resources, and attending school trips. This role may also include supporting children with SEND. The perfect candidate will be someone enthusiastic, caring, and with a genuine passion for making a difference in children's school lives.

You will be joining a successful school within Whalley Range, Manchester, where children blossom. The school has amazing, supportive staff members who are passionate about high standards and working as part of a team. There are always opportunities to grow your skills as a teaching assistant.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification or working towards one
  • Experience in a UK school preferably in KS2
  • Experience in delivering interventions is desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for helping children
  • Great behaviour management
  • Experience working with SEND
  • Positive attitude

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
