Overview:Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Crumpsall, Bury. This position is integral to creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational settings and be confident in leading interventions and covering classes when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum, ensuring students are engaged and making progress.
  • Cover Classes: Take charge of the classroom in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
  • Interventions: Lead small and large group activities, focusing on literacy and numeracy to support student progress.
  • Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour management strategies and address any behavioural concerns in a proactive and supportive manner.
  • Communication: Provide feedback and updates to teachers and parents regarding students' progress and well-being.
  • Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and welfare of students at all times.
