We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team at a school in Stalybridge, Tameside. This is a temporary, full-time position commencing after the February half-term break and continuing until the end of the academic year in July 2025.

Role Overview:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning and development across Key Stages 1 and 2. Working closely with teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, provide one-on-one and group support, and assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teaching and learning activities across KS1 and KS2.
  • Assist with planning and delivering tailored interventions for individual and small groups of pupils.
  • Encourage pupils' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support classroom management and ensure lessons run smoothly.
  • Provide feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Confidence in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a busy school environment.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
