Randstad Education is hiring for a school in Manchester and is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support the emotional and behavioural development of the students.
  • Helping students learn and ensuring the classroom is a safe learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback and guidance.
  • Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience supporting SEMH children in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student's educational needs.
  • Enhanced DBS is mandatory (If you do not have a DBS on the update service you must be willing to apply for a new one).
  • Eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship).
