We are delighted to partner with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school for boys aged 11-16, where respect, belief, and achievement are at the heart of everything they do.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to make a meaningful difference by supporting students on their personal and academic journeys.

The Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage positively in their learning.
  • Assist in creating a safe, supportive environment where students can regulate their behaviour and thrive.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development, encouraging personal growth.
  • Build trust-based relationships through shared interests, such as sports, gaming, music, fitness, outdoor activities, horse riding, or sailing.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to form meaningful, positive relationships with students.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience working with children.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (or a willingness to complete).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to process a new one).
  • Two professional references, ideally related to working with children.
