We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) secondary school in Tameside. This role is offered through our agency on behalf of the school. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students' social and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' needs.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working with SEND students is essential.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Driving: A valid driving licence is required as the role may involve travel between sites.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
